Boating on the Isar is permitted in the following areas within the city of Munich:
- coming from the south, from the Großhesseloher Wehr until 100 meters after the Thalkirchner Brücke, with the exception of the weir and the raft slide at the Marienklause (see general ruling from April 3rd, 2020)
- north of the Max-Joseph-Brücke until 200 meters before the Oberföhringer Wehr
Boating (including surfing and stand-up paddling) on the Isarkanal is permitted on the following routes:
- From the south after the Wehr Großhesselohe until shortly before the junction of the Werkkanal into the Floßgasse at the Flößerdenkmal. Observe the danger signs on site. There is a danger to life at the junction. Before entering Floßgasse, there is an exit point on the left-hand (western) bank. After the raft alley, boats can be put back into the raft canal below. Entering the Floßgasse is at your own risk! There is a danger to life! Keep a safe distance from rafts!
- From the junction into Floßgasse to the outlet of the rafting area on Zentralländstraße. During rafting operations, the landing basin of the rafting area may only be used to pass through to the end of the permit area, but not for practice purposes.
